$10,000 Goal

New Hope has been in existence for almost 15 years and is known in the community for its outreach ministry. We have 45-55 children in our program and serve children ages 6 weeks to 5 years of old. We are open Monday-Friday 6:30 am to 6:00 pm. Our children are given the opportunity to learn and grow and to be taught the important skills for early childhood development in a Christian environment.
We are the ONLY childcare facility in The Colony, Texas that partners with Texas Workforce Solutions to identify and accept families who are on the waiting list to receive childcare subsidy and only pay the low tuition rate immediately which is 55-60% lower than other child care facilities in our area. These children are accepted into our program BEFORE we receive their subsidy from the state. We provide our parents a hand up, not a handout. This waiting period for many families can be very lengthy, so this is a huge savings to our families.

We are a certified child care program through Texas Rising Star with a 3 star rating.

Having a child's nutrition needs met is important to their physical and intellectual development. New Hope follows and exceeds the guidelines put forth by The Department of Agriculture for all our meals and snacks that are served. We create a monthly menu that is then prepared daily by an onsite Cook. Each child is offered and exposed to a variety of nutritional foods. This also creates a basis for healthy eating habits for life. We provide breakfast, lunch, and 2 snacks daily.
Children in low income families that have a positive preschool experience arrive at Kindergarten better able to learn than those without that experience.  Low-income children are unfortunately at a disadvantage.  We offer a variety of learning experiences such as:  Chapel, hands on Math & Science, Creative Movement, Cooking, Choir.

Our Needs

$15 a day, $75 a week, $300 a month or $3,600 a year closes the gap for 1 child on the loss of tuition needed to keep our program going. This enables us to provide up to 2,760 hours of childcare, 480 meals, and 480 snacks annually for 1 child.

Our facility remained open and we have survived the entire crisis of COVID-19, which enabled us to offer childcare to essential worker's children as well as keep our essential staff employed.
Strict budgetary and spending controls, private donations and grants have allowed our "Bridging the Gap Initiative" to serve low income families and their children for the last 15 years.
Texas does not pay tuition assistance retroactively, which is why other "for profit" childcare facilities do not serve these families. We absorb the loss of the low tuition rate while a family is waiting.

Mission

New Hope's mission is to provide high quality, full time, licensed childcare for babies through age 5 in The Colony and surrounding areas, by providing our low income families a hand up through our Bridging the Gap initiative. This initiative allows our families to pay a low rate of tuition for their childcare immediately, which enables our parents to go to work or go to school right away.
