EdCor Health Initiatives

A nonprofit organization

The vision for this project is to develop a clinical facility that serves the behavioral health needs
of the southern Dallas education corridor with healthcare and counseling assistance.
Additionally, the project would serve as a workforce training facility for the students of UNTD
and Paul Quinn. The City of Dallas has committed to the project a site for development that is
approximately four acres in size. Conversations with interested parties have outlined a basic
program for the facility that provides the following services:

 Behavioral Health Clinic
 Primary Care Clinic
 Pharmacy
 Primary Care
 Geriatric Care
 Workforce Training
 Day Building
 Police Diversion
 Substance Abuse
 Additional Wrap Around services to possibly include services for the DPD,
DFR, COD, DCCCD, DISD, and Community Courts

This Integrated Health Clinic (IHC) will help alleviate emergency department overcrowding as
well as provide services to prevent behavioral health patients from overcrowding the jails. The
facility will be a day facility and will not serve as an inpatient facility for substance abuse or
extended behavioral health observation. A 501(c)3 has been formed under which the center will
operate with its multiple partners. At this point, EdCord Health Initiatives is looking for
commitments from operators interested in being a part of this exciting program. A term sheet
will need to be developed for interested providers outlining the financial model under which they
will commit to being a partner.
