Since 1977, appreciated donors have given our foundation more than $74 million to help people live well.
Baylor Scott & White Irving Foundation grants all funds raised to help two nonprofits currently:
Baylor Scott & White Medical Center is the community's only nonprofit, safety-net hospital. Donors' gifts are often the only funding available for new equipment, programs and staff continuing education, since hospital revenues are very limited after operating expenses and charity care costs.
Baylor Scott & White - Irving Community Clinic is a medical home for thousands of needy and uninsured residents of the DFW mid-cities. Not only can patients there find great medical care to stay well, but they also receive access to free and low-cost medicines and social services.
How can you help today?
Your gift can help meet one of our community's greatest needs in a significant way. In these days of record-breaking inflation, it's challenging for some of our uninsured patients to afford even a low $10 requested clinic-visit fee. With your help last year, we were able to expand care to some of the smallest members of our community, children. Historically, primary care providers in the Irving Community Care Clinic could see children ages 5 and above but could not accommodate children birth through age 5 due to the added challenge of resources to care for the younger population (staffing, vaccines, specialized equipment, etc.). With support from North Texas Giving Day, we are already scheduled to see 50 kids in 2023 and need your help to see even more!
Key achievements in the last business year (FY23):
- 7,578 in-person visits by patients with clinical and pharmacy team members
- 4,168 telephonic visits
Our North Texas Giving Day goal in 2023 will help cover the clinic-visit fees for 15 individuals, a child or a parent, each week for a year--so they can focus on staying well.
