Habitat for Humanity of Grayson County is part of a global, nonprofit housing ministry. Our vision is a world where everyone has a decent place to live. Habitat families build their homes, participate in financial education, and pay a no-interest mortgage directly to Habitat for Humanity. They achieve long-term financial security and self-reliance through affordable home ownership. The homeowners' monthly mortgage payments and/or repair payments are used to build and repair more homes. Habitat works with donors, volunteers, churches, businesses, and other partners to build strong communities.
In Grayson County, Habitat has completed more than 65 housing projects. Of those, 41 are new, affordable, safe homes, transforming the lives of more than 200 family members, including more than 100 children.
As land prices escalate in North Texas, Habitat needs lots for building homes in Grayson County cities. Lots need to be accessible to city services and have a minimum width of 50 feet.
