As the primary caregiver for her mother and grandmother, both living with Alzheimer's disease, and frustrated with the limited number of resources for caregivers in her demographic, Veronica Shanklin founded Dementia Care Warriors (DCW) in 2019. Founded by caregivers for caregivers, DCW provides resources and education to caregivers navigating the difficult road of caring for a loved one with Alzheimer's or related dementia in underserved communities.

Volunteers - As a volunteer run organization, DCW is looking for individuals and groups to assist with upcoming events and programs. We are also in need of long-term skills based volunteers in the areas of finance/accounting, digital marketing and development.
