Ark House

Ark House provides fully furnished apartments in the North Dallas area. Apartments come fully equipped with kitchen utensils, linens, cable TV, everything to make a resident feel like this is home-away-from-home. Ark House is an all volunteer organization. There is NO paid staff; all money collected goes to support the Ark House operations. In 2023, we expect to provide 4,900 days of stay for our residents. Our residents are referred to us by the social workers from the local Dallas hospitals. We serve a wide variety of ethnicity, gender, and age clients and their families. Medical needs range from cancer treatments, organ transplants, accident recovery, and treatments for long term illnesses. During our nearly 38 year history, we have welcomed clientele from many distant locales including multiple foreign countries and numerous states outside of Texas, in addition to many patients from all parts of Texas. We charge a nominal daily fee for the apartment to provide an affordable option for our clients who are from the lower income bracket. Operating expense are approximately $40.00 a day per apartment so additional operating funds are needed to cover the differential and to maintain the affordable rent. All funds raised go to pay the rent and to maintain a quality environment for our clients.
