Shelter2Rescue Coalition is an all-volunteer rescue organization. Under our programs NoKill Rural Texas and TransFurNation, are dedicated to helping companion animals get out of shelters and into homes or other rescues. Sometimes, our furry companions need extra time to heal emotionally, physically, or medically before they are reintroduced back to the community. We take on that challenge. Please consider donating now as we continue to build long term partnerships with shelters, rescues, boarding facilities, transportation services, and vet services to minimize euthanasia of adoptable pets.
MEDICAL NEED
Some animals are overlooked at adoptions due to large medical costs like surgeries or heartworm treatments. Other times, animals need basic vet care which includes a wellness check, vaccinations, preventative medication (flea/tick/heartworm preventative), microchipping, and spay/neuter procedures.
No animal in our care should go without a vet's caring touch. Have a heart and donate now.
VOLUNTEER/FOSTER
We rely on our community to help us continue our goal of helping animal in rural shelters. We are in need of short-term foster homes for dogs who are in need of a safe place to decompress before their continued journey to an adoptive home or another rescue.
If fostering is not for you, we have a ton of opportunities to assist at on site adoption events, transport animals to meet rescues, travel to vet visits, or even assist with administrative duties from home.
TRANSPORTATION
Our newly formed TransFurNation program is taking off! This program is dedicated to transporting animals to either rescue partners or adoptive homes. As we expand our reach, we need donations or sponsors to help us obtain a second transport vehicle (for the long-haul trips), gas, preventative maintenance, and/or repair. Contact us at info@shelter2rescue.org if you would like to become a sponsor.
Our mission is to save cats and dogs in rural shelters by taking them into our rescue, transporting them to other rescues and sanctuaries, or finding them a home in the DFW metroplex. Our vision is find safe haven for adoptable pets in our community and support our community keep them in their homes.
