Friends of Waxahachie Animal Services is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization with a core focus of networking at risk dogs in Ellis County.
The biggest obstacles that our organization is currently facing is having funds available for basic vaccines, spay and neutering. The shelter does not provide these services, so any dog pulled into a foster home with Friends of WAS requires a minimum $400 per dog. This is the cost using low cost spay/neuter clinics and low-cost vaccine clinics. One addition that we offer ALL shelter dogs in our care is a 1-year pro-heart injection for financial peace of mind to the adopting family.
The Friends of Was commitment is to network the dogs of Ellis County into safe, long-term reputable homes in support of the local Waxahachie Animal Shelter. We spay/neuter, foster and adopt out where fund allow. Together we can.
